Mill Creek Dental Crowns & Bridges Treatment
Repair and Replace Teeth. Restoring Form, Function and Freedom.
If you have damaged or decayed teeth, or if you have missing teeth, you’ve lost your freedom to smile . . . to eat . . . to speak with confidence and comfort.
Don’t lose one more day.
Mill Creek Dentist Dr. Brian Rutherford offers dental crowns and dental bridges that can restore your smile to health, function and beauty.
A dental crown is a custom-made restoration that completely covers or “caps” the tooth. It is used to return a damaged or decayed tooth to health and strength; a cap can also be used for cosmetic purposes, returning a tooth to a natural attractive appearance.
Dr. Rutherford has traditionally used porcelain crowns; however he now uses all-ceramic crowns due to their improved strength and endurance.
One of the worst parts of getting a crown is the messy impression the dentist has to take of the tooth. Patients often gag on the tray and gooey impression material. No more. Using the Cadent iTero Digital Impression System, Dr. Rutherford is able to take precise digital impressions with a hand-held device. The Cadent takes digital images that provide an accurate representation of the tooth. The images are sent directly to a computer for a precise3-D representation of your tooth and gum structure for a better fitting, more accurate restoration. No trays. No gagging. No choking. The iTero makes taking digital impressions easy and comfortable.
With CEREC® Technology, Dr. Rutherford is able to create and place your custom crown in just one office visit (a typical crown usually takes two appointments). No temporaries and no second visit.
A dental bridge is a custom-made appliance that is used to replace one or several consecutive missing teeth. The appliance is held in place by crowns permanently placed on healthy teeth on each side of the space left by missing teeth. The artificial tooth fills that space, returning the smile to a natural appearance.
